When God's Doing A New Thing!

Hey, Sweet Reader,

Last Friday, I was putting together this newsletter with grandkids filling my house—laughter and interruptions everywhere.

And somehow… I completely forgot to include the link to my latest blog post. Real life, right? That’s just how my days look sometimes, and I know many of yours do too.

During my time with Jesus this week, one particular passage met me right where I am and wouldn’t let go:

“Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.”
—Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV)

These words have been speaking deeply to my heart.

About eight months ago, we packed up our lives and moved 1,000 miles across the country.

God’s direction was unmistakably clear. In one single day, the decision was settled.

Within two days, a buyer appeared for our home.

One month later, we were driving away in a moving truck—leaving what was familiar and stepping into the unknown.

Scripture reminds us that God brought the Israelites out of Egypt in one decisive day, too. And yet, later on, they looked back with longing—remembering the food and comforts while forgetting the bondage and oppression they had lived under.

Isn’t that so human?

When the present feels uncertain, the past can start to look safer than it really was.

But God was doing something new!

And He still is!

I can see God doing new things in my life—even now.

And whether you’re walking through a wilderness season or standing on steady ground, He wants to do new things in your life, too. He longs to be your spring of living water—the place you return to for refreshment, restoration, and renewal.

So let me gently ask you, as you sit quietly with your coffee for a moment today:

How is God working in your life right now?

With love and grace,
Judith

Are You ALL IN?

Hey Reader, I'm writing to you, surrounded by the happy chaos of excited grandkids waiting to spend time with me. Life doesn't get any better than that, does it?! This new year has started in full swing for me. Life is beautifully full between ministry work, time with the grandkids, baking bread for hungry people (you know how that goes 😉), and trying—trying—to keep the house from spinning into complete chaos. In the middle of all that, I came across a statement this week that stopped me in...

Do You Want a Teachable Heart?

Hi Sweet Reader, I hope this finds you growing closer to Jesus as January unfolds. It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the month—these days seem to move faster than we expect. This new year has started in full swing for me. Hi ladies, Can you believe the first week of 2026 is already behind us? It always amazes me how quickly time moves—blink, and we’re talking about Christmas again. Maybe your decorations are already packed away (mine came down the Saturday after New Year’s), or maybe they’re still quietly twinkling in the corner. Either way, the turn of the year has a way of stirring things in our hearts. For some, the new year arrives gently. For others, it carries grief, change, or the ache of what’s been...
