Are You ALL IN?

Hey Reader,

I'm writing to you, surrounded by the happy chaos of excited grandkids waiting to spend time with me. Life doesn't get any better than that, does it?!

This new year has started in full swing for me. Life is beautifully full between ministry work, time with the grandkids, baking bread for hungry people (you know how that goes 😉), and trying—trying—to keep the house from spinning into complete chaos.

In the middle of all that, I came across a statement this week that stopped me in my tracks. It settled into my heart in a way I didn’t expect, and I wanted to pass it along to you:

“Wherever you are, be ALL IN. Live life to the full in every situation you believe to be the will of God.”

I’ve been carrying those words with me all week. They’ve met me right where I am—right here at my kitchen table—and maybe they’ll meet you right where you are, too. (You’re sipping coffee while reading this… right?)

My life is good. Truly. And still, there are moments when I wonder if I can pull it all off. Maybe you feel that tension too—the gratitude mixed with weariness, the desire to be faithful without knowing how to do everything well.

That’s what led me to write this week’s blog post: Teach Me, Lord: Walking in His Will with a Surrendered Heart.

When life feels hard—or simply full and busy—we need a humble, teachable heart that keeps turning toward Jesus and saying, Help me walk this day with You.

I’d love for you to take a few quiet moments to read it and let me know how it speaks to your heart.

As for me, it’s snowing again up here in northern Wisconsin, and the temperatures are hovering around zero. Winter has a way of slowing things down and reminding me to lean in close.

How about you—what’s happening in your world right now?

I’m sharing from the Reset & Renew Bible Reading Plan (free) inside our Jesus Journaling community, and I would truly love for you to join me.

Let’s spend this month growing closer to Jesus together—one verse, one quiet moment at a time.

When God Is Doing a New Thing

Hey, Sweet Reader, Last Friday, I was putting together this newsletter with grandkids filling my house—laughter and interruptions everywhere. And somehow… I completely forgot to include the link to my latest blog post. Real life, right? That’s just how my days look sometimes, and I know many of yours do too. During my time with Jesus this week, one particular passage met me right where I am and wouldn’t let go: “Behold, I will do a new thing,Now it shall spring forth;Shall you not know it?I...

Do You Want a Teachable Heart?

Hi Sweet Reader, I hope this finds you growing closer to Jesus as January unfolds. It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the month—these days seem to move faster than we expect. This new year has started in full swing for me. Hi ladies, Can you believe the first week of 2026 is already behind us? It always amazes me how quickly time moves—blink, and we’re talking about Christmas again. Maybe your decorations are already packed away (mine came down the Saturday after New Year’s), or maybe they’re still quietly twinkling in the corner. Either way, the turn of the year has a way of stirring things in our hearts. For some, the new year arrives gently. For others, it carries grief, change, or the ache of what’s been...
