Perfect Peace in the Storm

Hey Sweet Sister,

I hope this note finds you soaking up the last golden days of summer. Up here in the north, I’m doing my best to enjoy every bit of sunshine while it lasts!

Before I share what’s been on my heart this past week, I wanted to take care of a couple quick housekeeping things that I hope will bring you a breath of fresh air.

You may have noticed that I’ve been sending out more than my usual two emails from His Unmeasured Grace. Recently, I tried a rhythm of four emails per week—between blog recaps and personal notes. But here’s what I’ve discovered: it’s just too much. For me, and probably for you too!

So here’s the new plan (and I think you’ll love it):
💌
Monday – a recap of what’s new on the blog
💌
Friday – a short, heartfelt message from me

Simple and grace-filled—just the way we like it. If this feels like a better fit for your inbox, I’d love to hear from you! Just hit “reply” and let me know.

Also, in case you missed it—I’ve closed the Grace-Filled Living Facebook group and merged everything into Jesus Journaling. Life is full (hello grandkids and empty nesting!), and I want to show up wholeheartedly where God is leading. One group feels just right—for me and for you.

Perfect Peace in the Storm

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”

This verse has been my anchor lately.

Life has felt a bit like a whirlwind—between the move, unexpected bumps, and emotional moments that leave me reeling.

Maybe you’ve felt it too? It's been one of those weeks where everything seems to unravel.

But then, I got alone with Jesus. I poured out my heart. And even though nothing around me changed, His peace filled the stormy spaces in my soul.

That’s the beauty of God’s promise in Isaiah 26:3. When our minds are stayed—fixed, focused, and steady on Him—He wraps us in a peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances.

Sweet friend, if you’re overwhelmed or worn out, I encourage you to pause and lean in. Worship, even when it’s hard. Whisper a prayer. Sing a praise. Remember who He is.

The peace He gives is real. It's lasting. And it’s yours when you trust in Him.

Hey Sweet Reader, When you’re worn out, there’s a better source of energy than caffeine—let’s talk about it. Some days feel like a marathon before I even have my first cup of tea. Already this morning, I’ve worked out and have a fresh loaf of sourdough cooling on the counter—yet my “To Do List” is still calling. You know those little tasks that never get written down, but somehow eat up half your day? Yes… those. When my energy runs low, I’m quick to reach for my supplements, a steaming mug...
