Do you Need to Rest and Renew?

Hey Sweet Reader,

Are you pushing yourself to accomplish all the things until you're beyond exhausted? That is totally what I do!

As women, we can be driven as we continually serve our families.

This month, I have been doing the Resting in Jesus Bible Reading Plan, and it's exactly what I've needed. Did you download your copy?

Do You Need to Rest & Renew?

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NKJV)

It’s so important to rest and renew your body, spirit, and mind so you can keep serving others with strength and joy.

Today, find a quiet place with something warm to drink and meditate on this verse along with the entire passage of Romans 15:1–13.

When my children were little, my quiet place was during nap time. Maybe for you, it’s early in the morning before the house stirs, or perhaps during a lunch break.

Whatever season you're in, be creative in finding your moments of rest with Jesus.

I chose this verse on abounding in hope for the Resting in Jesus Bible Reading Plan because it’s one that anchors us when life feels overwhelming.

Romans 15:1 reminds us that the strong should bear with the weak.

Some days I don’t feel strong at all, but I find strength in my weakness—because that’s where God’s power shines through.

Think of someone you might encourage today (Romans 15:2).

Whisper a prayer for her and then take a simple step—send a card, text, or email.

Better yet, surprise her with flowers or a little treat.

In doing so, you’ll be following Jesus’ example, who did not live to please Himself but poured out love for others.

No matter what you’re facing today, choose to sing, rejoice, and praise Jesus.

Your life will glorify God and overflow with hope as you serve others today!!
