How To Begin the New Year with Jesus

Hey Sweet Reader,

It's hard to believe Christmas is over and today is New Year's Eve! I hope you have a Blessed New Year and that the resources I'm sharing with you today will help prepare you for the year God has in store for you.

Christmas looks different for each of us. For some, it’s filled with joy; for others, it carries the weight of loss and longing. When a loved one is missing, even a beautiful day can feel tender and sad. This is why Jesus came—to step into our broken places with grace, comfort, and hope.

There’s something sacred about these early days of January—a quiet pause where we can look back with gratitude and step forward with hope, asking God to shape our hearts for what’s ahead.

That’s why I'm inviting you to Reset & Renew, a simple, grace-filled way to begin the year with Jesus.

I’ve created the Reset & Renew Printable Pack, which includes two printables:

  • The Reset & Renew Bible Reading Plan is designed to help you slow down and refocus your heart on Scripture
  • The One Word, One Verse, & One Song printable is a favorite rhythm I return to each year

I love starting the new year by reflecting on the year behind me and prayerfully looking ahead to what God wants to do in my heart in the coming year.

Each January, I use this printable to record One Word, One Verse, and One Song as the Lord gently guides me forward. It’s a simple practice—but one that keeps my heart anchored and expectant.

Beginning today, I’ll be sharing from the Reset & Renew Bible Reading Plan (free) inside our Jesus Journaling community, and I would truly love for you to join me.

Let’s spend this month growing closer to Jesus together—one verse, one quiet moment at a time.

If you’re longing to go a little deeper, you can also upgrade to the full version:

However you choose to begin, know this—you don’t have to rush into the new year.

Grace is waiting for you here.

His Grace is Unmeasured,
