How I deal with overwhelm! + August Bible Reading Plan FREE PDF!

Hey Reader,

Read to the bottom for FREE Resting in Jesus Bible Reading Plan!!

Each morning, I wake up wondering if I can pull off another day or not. I wonder if my energy will be there for the myriad things I'll need to do for my family.

I often struggle with overwhelm as the first things needing to be done all seem to need doing simultaneously. Overwhelm should have been my middle name!

My day is filled with people calling me by different names—Judith or Judie, Mom, or Gramma. And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. Each name is a precious reminder of the people I love and serve. But some days, the demands feel like too much.

That’s why I’ve learned to lean into a few simple strategies that help keep me grounded when I feel like I’m barely hanging on:

  1. Start the day with a breath prayer.
“Jesus, I need You.” Those four little words carry me through more moments than I can count.
  2. Simply do the next thing.
Instead of staring at the mountain, I take the next small step—wash the dishes, send the message, sit with Jesus.
  3. 30-minute workout to up my energy level.
Even a short walk outside refreshes my spirit and gives me the physical and emotional boost I need.
  4. Take time for the next day in my Bible Reading Plan.
God's Word re-centers me. It reminds me that I'm not running this race alone and that grace is waiting for me, fresh each morning.

So let me ask you, sweet friend…

Do you struggle with overwhelm too? What helps you most when your day feels like too much?

Let’s lift one another, reminding each other that His grace is sufficient—even in the messiest, most exhausting moments of motherhood and life.

With grace and strength for your day,
Judith

Hey Sweet Reader, When you’re worn out, there’s a better source of energy than caffeine—let’s talk about it. Some days feel like a marathon before I even have my first cup of tea. Already this morning, I’ve worked out and have a fresh loaf of sourdough cooling on the counter—yet my “To Do List” is still calling. You know those little tasks that never get written down, but somehow eat up half your day? Yes… those. When my energy runs low, I’m quick to reach for my supplements, a steaming mug...
