A calmer heart starts here… 5 grace-filled habits after 50

Hey Reader,

Isn’t it beautiful to see the trees budding and flowers beginning to bloom again?

After a long winter, everything feels like it’s coming back to life.

And yet… even with all that beauty around us, anxiety can still quietly rise within.

Life doesn’t always match what we see outside our window, does it?

That’s exactly why I wanted to sit down and share something close to my heart with you today.

I’ve just shared a new video on 5 grace-filled habits that calm anxiety after 50—and oh, how I wish someone had gently walked me through these things years ago.

Because somewhere along the way—whether you’re nearing 50, in your 60s, or even your 70s—you may have noticed that anxiety feels… different.

Not always overwhelming.
But present. Lingering. Quietly tapping on your heart.

I’ve felt it too.

And I’ve learned that while we may not be able to eliminate anxiety, we can learn how to respond to it differently.

We can learn how to calm our hearts… slowly… gently… with God right in the middle of it.

That’s what these habits have done for me.

They’re not complicated.
They’re not heavy.

They’re simple, grace-filled rhythms like:

  • Turning outward and serving others!
  • Refueling your soul instead of running on empty!
  • Replacing scrolling with reading!
  • Creating quiet, meaningful moments with the Lord!
  • And gently moving your body to release what you’re carrying!

These small shifts have helped me steady my thoughts, quiet my heart, and feel more grounded in this season of life.

And here’s something I’ve noticed…

Even just talking about these things—slowing down enough to listen, reflect, and take one small step—can begin to calm that anxious feeling in your body.

You don’t have to figure everything out today.

You don’t have to change everything all at once.

Just begin.

If your heart has been feeling a little unsettled lately, I think this video will be a soft place for you to land.

As you listen, ask the Lord to show you just one habit to begin with.

That’s all it takes.

One small step… walked with Him.

I’m right here walking this season with you, friend.

With grace,
Judith

Are You Trusting God in Every Season of Life?

Dear Reader, Have you ever looked back on a season of your life and quietly realized… the Lord led me? Not always in ways that were obvious at the time. Not always with clear direction or certainty. But step by step… He was there. Lately, as I’ve been reading through Genesis, one verse has stayed with me: Genesis 24:27 (NKJV) reminds us that “being on the way, the LORD led me…” There’s something comforting about that. The servant didn’t wait until everything was clear. He didn’t have the full...
