You'd never guess WHO inspires me MOST - she encouraged me in hard times!

Hi Reader!

By the time you read this, I'll be in San Antonio, Texas for the first time ever. It's a whirlwind trip for my husband's small high school reunion. He went to boarding school in Taiwan.

If you remember how much I love warm weather, you'll know I'm soaking up the last warmth before winter kicks in.

Winter must be on the back burner this year!

WHO Inspires Me MOST?

Have you ever gone through hard times and felt . . .

  • Defeated?
  • Discouraged?
  • Depressed?
  • Failure?
  • Struggled?

Maybe it's your marriage, kids, health, or something that's simply not coming together smoothly.

I'm here to reassure you that NO one has a perfect life. Not ever.

I could check off all five of those categories. Not only that, I've had marital bliss (AKA discord) and issues with my kids (they're imperfect too).

Through hard times, the woman in the Bible who encouraged me most is ABIGAIL!

Abigail had the courage and honor to do right in God’s sight although Nabal dishonored David’s men who had safeguarded his land and livestock.

Abigail was trapped in a loveless marriage and yet she desired to please and honor God.

She dared to honor her husband, Nabal, even though he had done nothing to deserve or earn her love and trust.

You might not have a difficult marriage.

Your situation may be totally different, yet, Abigail's courage and honor can encourage you.

Reader, drop over to read Abigail's Courage and Honor to Do Right in God's Sight and find ENOURAGEMENT including a video!

Looking Ahead

Merry Merry Christmas! Experiencing Christmas Overload? Get unstuck from the Christmas Overwhelm, live fully calm!

Merry Merry Christmas Reader! Christmas Day is tomorrow even though I've been 'Christmas-ing' since last Friday. I hope you have the most wonderful time with your family and friends! If it weren't for the gift of Jesus, we'd have no hope at all. It's a time of joy and gladness, tinsel and lights, yet somehow it can become overwhelming. Or maybe for you, it's a sad time of the year as your memories go back to happier Christmases. Does Christmas find you: Overwhelmed and tense? Lonely and sad?...

Get unstuck from the Christmas Overwhelm, live fully calm

Hello Reader, Are you experiencing Christmas overload? I'm on the edge! We're down to the last full week before Christmas and it's so easy to be carried away by the chaos. I love Christmas and all the sparkly lights, snowmen, and creating fun themes around our home. But that's not to say that overload isn't calling my name with all the things (I think) I still need to do! I want to slow down and encourage you to slow down too. I want to Create Christmas Calm and remember the reason for the...

?17 Days 'til Christmas! Are You Calm??Help is Here!

Hello Reader, So yes, I counted 17 days until Christmas!! Time flies in December! At this point in the countdown 'til Christmas, I'm beginning to be over-the-top overwhelmed trying to get 'all the things' done. I've had a lot going on during November (trip to Texas, cataract surgeries, a 5-day power outage, after-surgery complications, and a whirlwind 6-day trip to Minnesota and Wisconsin) Did I mention that the temps plummeted and I'm freezing?! Yet . . . I 'sort of' got back on track...
