🌸Start Your Mornings with Grace!

Hey Sweet Friend,

I hope the sun is shining where you live. There's something so refreshing about a rainy spring day, but oh, how the sunshine lifts my spirits.

Summer is tiptoeing closer, and with it comes a different kind of busy.

The school year winds down, and suddenly the house is full again. Whether your kids are home for summer break or you're like me—welcoming grandkids into the house—those quiet pockets of time can disappear quickly.

Even though my own children are grown, three of my grandkids come bounding through my front door regularly. They bring such joy! But I’ve learned that if I want to spend time with the Lord, I often need to do it before those little feet hit the floor.

If your summer days are filling up fast, I want to gently encourage you with this:
You can still meet with Jesus—right in the middle of the busyness.

Ten Minutes with Jesus

Spending even just ten minutes with Jesus is far better than skipping your quiet time altogether because life feels too full.

This might not be the season for deep Bible studies in Daniel or Revelation—and that’s okay. Maybe it's the perfect time for a Psalm or a short passage from one of Paul’s letters.

Here’s a simple rhythm that works beautifully when life gets full:

  • Start with a breath prayer. Just a whisper to center your heart—"Jesus, I’m here. Speak to me."
  • Read a short passage. Sometimes I’ll read just one verse from a Bible Reading Plan and let that one verse settle deep.
  • Write out the verse. Grab your journal and maybe add a little flower doodle beside it. That creative touch helps plant it in both your heart and memory.
  • Close with another breath prayer. “Thank You, Lord, for meeting me here. Go with me today.”

It’s amazing how even a short time in the Word can carry you through your day with peace and grace.

And if the little ones in your life see you with your Bible open? That image will leave a lasting imprint on their hearts. My grandkids giggle with delight when they catch me reading mine—it’s like they’ve discovered a treasure.

Hey Reader... Summer arrived suddenly after what felt like a never-ending spring! The chilly days and endless rain seemed like they would never give way to sunshine. But now, here we are—stepping into days with temperatures soaring to the 80s, and the kind of heavy humidity that makes it feel like a thunderstorm is just moments away. I chuckle thinking back to when I was a little girl, listening to the grown-up women chatting about the weather over coffee. I remember thinking, that will never...

?Why I’m Loving the Embracing Grace Bible Plan Right Now ?

Hey Sweet Reader,Several days a week, my grandkids come bursting through the door with a kind of joy that fills the house—and my heart. Even when I’m dragging, their excitement is enough to energize me for the day ahead. They usually arrive early, so I need to be ready—not just my home, but my heart. And let me tell you, it’s only by the grace of God that I’ve made it to this season. I fell short so many times as a mom, and now? What a blessing to enjoy these kiddos with a fresh perspective...

Hello Sweet Reader, Hey Friend, Have you joined me yet for our Embracing Grace Bible Reading Plan? This month, we’re slowing down to soak up grace—one verse at a time. Sometimes two. But just one simple verse can speak volumes when you take it through your day. I’m really excited about this one (I know, I say that every. single. month!) because grace is something I need so much. Don’t you? We all fall short of the glory of God—and His grace meets us right there. I started the study on June...
