❤️ Do you find it hard to love when you're exhausted?

Hello, Sweet Reader,

I've had days when I was so extremely exhausted that it was hard to get through my day . . . but I had to because my family depended on me.

Have you been there too?

Loving Like Jesus When You’re Exhausted

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Love is easy when life feels light, but what about when you’re drained, overwhelmed, and just plain exhausted?

When burnout creeps in, loving others—even those closest to us—can feel like one more thing we just don’t have the energy for.

But Jesus understands.

He knew exhaustion—long days of ministry, crowds pressing in, people always needing something.

Yet, even in His weariness, He loved fully, deeply, and selflessly.

How did He do it?

And how can we learn to love like Jesus when we feel empty?

Stay Connected to the Source of Love

Jesus often withdrew to pray (Luke 5:16).

He knew that to pour out, He first needed to be filled.

When we neglect time with God, we run on fumes.

But when we abide in Him, His love flows through us (John 15:5).

Practical steps: Start your day with even a few moments in prayer, surrendering your exhaustion to Jesus.

Ask Him to fill you with His love and strength.

  1. Love in Small, Sustainable Ways!
  2. Love doesn’t always mean grand gestures!
  3. Sometimes, it’s a soft word, a patient response, or simply being present!
  4. Jesus loved through acts of service, compassion, and grace—even when He was tired! (Mark 6:34).

Practical steps: Instead of focusing on what you can’t do, ask, What small act of love can I offer today?

Maybe it’s a kind word, a gentle hug, or a whispered prayer for someone.

Do you feel drained and empty? What are you doing to learn to love more deeply?
